F-150, Mustang, Bronco, Powerstroke

Ford owners have a specific problem that other truck owners do not: on newer F-150s the model lettering is stamped into the tailgate itself. You cannot remove it, and anything you add has to work around it rather than compete with it.

The answer is to badge somewhere else entirely. Bedsides, front fenders and the lower door panels all read cleanly and leave the factory tailgate alone. If you want something on the tailgate, keep it small and put it in a corner - a second full-width word next to stamped lettering looks like an accident.

Mustang and Bronco

Mustangs badge differently. The side scoop area and the flat behind the front wheel are the two spots that look intentional, and both want short text - three to six characters. Long phrases fight the body lines on a Mustang more than on almost any other car.

Broncos are closer to a Jeep: fender flats, tailgate, and the panel below the rear window. Avoid the textured flare material, which is deliberately rough and will shed tape.

Engine callouts

Powerstroke, EcoBoost, 5.0 and Coyote lettering are the ones people search for, and they belong on the front fender at roughly door-handle height. One per side. Two competing callouts on the same panel is the most common mistake in truck badging.

Construction

3mm cast acrylic, laser cut, hand polished, chamfered edges, UV-stable pigment layers, pre-applied 3M automotive tape. Fifteen solid colors and five mirror finishes. On Oxford White and Iconic Silver trucks, gloss black is the finish that photographs best; on Antimatter Blue and Agate Black, mirror silver carries further at distance.
